This is the 24mm upscale of the High Rotor I. Did I say 24mm? I can only imagine how high this baby will go! Or the oohs! and ahhs! it will generate at the launch pad! I guarantee that once you put this model on the rack, all the eyes will be on you!
The High Rotor I, II and III share the same design concept. Therefore, there is no launch lug, no streamer or parachute and recovery wadding is totally unnecessary! The powered and coasting phase of the flight is typical. No surprises here. However, something unusual happens at “ejection”. Nothing is ejected! Even the nose cone stays put! What happens is that the hot ejection gases trigger the release of the rotors (the gyrating blades of a helicopter), which deflect the air passing by the rocket, thereby creating drag and slowing down the model’s descent. In this design (Rotaroc), the rotors are attached directly to the airframe, so on the way down the body tube turns together with the rotors.
NB: Manufacturer requires epoxy glue on all joints. Epoxy glue sold separately.
